In Persian language, Narges is a common proper name for women, an allusion to the eyes of the beloved as well as the name for the flower Narcissus. Taking Narcissus as a muse in this timeless narrative, the lake is symbolized by the coming together of different layers that create image or reality.

Riding on the fluidity of gaze, in this journey of self-awareness, Narges dives-and at times drowns-into moving [archive of] images from the Iranian 40s-60s passing through several states of being that together shape the unity of his/her existence.

Through the alteration of content and context, this personal choreographic narrative plays around the inclusion and exclusion of ‘the other’ by embodying that which results in the creation of the self.
