Prelude
The starting point is a simple need to move. Prelude is born out of a practice that takes the oblivion of dance in Iran as a starting point. It is inspired by the ancient Zoroastrian culture & rituals which have been fading out for centuries.

In terms of movement, the solo relies on sound & the imagination to bring something invisible into an embodied experience, wondering what the dance might look like & how the dancer might have moved today.
